REDBIRD RALLY is an event sponsored by Parents Club designed to promote school spirit and opportunities available to students through participation in clubs, organizations and sports offered at the high school. Last year over 40 groups participated!
In a carnival-type atmosphere clubs, organizations and sports teams are invited to set up and staff their displays and activities to promote their group to students. Games, activities, prizes, a dunk tank and pie throwing contests have all been part of past rallies. For the past three years the event has been held immediately prior to a home football game. Parents Club also sponsors the all-school dance held that same night after the football game.
Parents Club sponsors many of the food and prize giveaways, music/DJ, and other special activities like the dunk tank. A committee of parents organizes the entire event. Parent volunteers also help with set up and take down, food preparation and giveaways, and staffing booths.
The 7th Annual Redbird Rally was a fun success!!
Thank you to Patti Van Gheem and Amy Beyer for all their work. Although the original theme was RED WHITE BLUE the kids decided they wanted Neon and it was fabulous! We have a first as we came in under budget and still managed to do all the things we wanted.
